Allow me to introduce myself and outline what I have to offer you.  As a fellowship trained and Board Certified Neurologist I have formal training in dealing with disorders of the brain, spine, nerves and muscles. I am practicing general neurology and have sub-specialty training in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology.

I am in private practice, after having worked full time for the UCLA Department of Neurology.  I use Saint Johns Health Center exclusively for my in-patient neurological care.

Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Segil completed an Adult Neurology Residency at USC’s Keck School of Medicine and LA-County USC.  All of his Neurology training has been completed locally so he has excellent working relationships with both academic centers.

Dr. Segil’s board certification in Neurology is by the American

Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Currently, Dr. Segil is practicing

general neurology and has

sub-specialty training in Epilepsy

and Clinical Neurophysiology.

Dr. Segil is on staff at St Johns Health Center and Santa Monica UCLA.  At Santa Monica-UCLA Dr. Segil is part of the EEG reading panel.

An invitation to be guest faculty in the Department of Neurology at UCLA’s Geffen School of Medicine was given to Dr. Segil after the residents awarded him their Fellow Teaching Award in 2009. 

Dr. Segil grew up locally, after moving to Santa Monica from South Africa in the 1st grade.  He went to Franklin, Lincoln and then graduated from Santa Monica High School.  He then completed an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and then attended an osteopathic medical school in southern California.  He lives in Santa Monica with his wife,

daughter and son.

Though Dr. Segil is a formally trained Neurologist who has completed

post-graduate training at both


his osteopathic foundations ensure he will treat you as a whole person.
